I love this newsletter edition, Jennifer. I believe whole-heartedly that the setting of an intention for a home is important and I really like how this ritual calls in that sweet dream of home. The cookie recipe is a great idea, too.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! We're looking for a house right now, so I'm definitely going to employ some of this myself.

Excellent idea. Years ago, I lit a candle and petitioned Hestia when I needed to move my teaching to over to Seattle for a year or so. The drive back and forth from the Olympic Peninsula was exhausting. The next morning I awoke to an email from a friend saying she heard of a little cottage in West Seattle that night and didn't know why I popped into her mind. Well, long story short, I rented the cottage and it was perfect for me for the year that I needed to be over there! I light a candle for you, Jennifer.

Fabulous! I’m so glad it worked for you. And thanks for the candle. :-) Hestia is powerful!

I love this spell. I started this yesterday, and am currently in the phase of lighting the candle every day. I am thankful that I have a photo of the exact house I desire - one I've dreamed of in my mind for months or even years - but we are currently needing a little help at the tail end of the purchasing process to actually purchase said house. I do have a couple questions regarding this spell. Your instructions say to light the candle every day as well as turning the key. Do we continue to make offerings to Hestia as well? Or recite the spoken part again?

I was also wondering if we bury the jar with the photo of the house as well as any sugar in it? I will have more than enough for the cookie recipe, so I was curious if I leave the rest in the jar to bury with it.

Finally, do I put the key back on my keychain when this is complete? Bury it with the jar? Or just do what feels right.

Thank you for this lovely spell, and guidance with my questions. 🤍

Hi Bree! The annoying answer to all of these is to do what feels right to you. The spell is just a base — follow your intuition for the other things. Although from a personal standpoint, I’d consider not burying the sugar, especially if you live in a place with rats or lots of ants. :-)

Hi. Can I ask, would writing on any print out of a house I like "3 bedrooms and a garden" instead of an actual photo as I don't have a specific house in mind yet. I'm still being clear on what I want I hope? Love this spell and I just want to tweak it slightly for my needs. X

Yes, as long as you do it with intention!

Should you include pets when adding cloves? and could you place a sigil inside your jar as well to amplify it?

I would say yes to both! Most important is doing what feels right to you.

Hi! I’m sorry to hear your partner is acting this way. I would suggest doing a mirror spell first so he can understand how you’re feeling, and then do the house spell. You can adapt it to your own needs, so keeping a house instead of getting one. Just make sure you’re doing it with that intention!
