Welcome to Kitchen Witch!
Cooking, baking, and ingredients are some of the key tools of the trade here at Kitchen Witch, and this newsletter celebrates all the magic that can be made in the kitchen. We cover anything that hits the intersection of food and witchcraft—whether that’s a recipe for a honey jar, the history of altar cakes, or even a deep-dive into food-adjacent topics, like ancient Icelandic farting spells and how they relate to food. Our goal is to provide you snackable bites of information once a month on fun, unique, and otherworldly topics, through professionally edited articles.
Subscribe and stay up-to-date on everything happening in the kitchen.
When you subscribe, you don’t have to worry about missing anything; every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. We offer both free and paid subscriptions. Paid subscribers receive extra content.
Write for us! We pay!
Do you have something unique to say about food and witchcraft? Send us a pitch to KitchenWitchJen@gmail.com! (Please don’t send full pieces—pitches only.) You don’t need to be a professional writer, but you will have a professional editor.
Current pay rates (paid via Venmo or PayPal on acceptance of the article) are:
$50 for reprints and recipes
$100 for original articles—minimum 400 words, maximum 1,200 words
Please note that rates will increase as subscribers increase. We are aiming to eventually pay $1 per word.
